I was very disappointed in some of the glaring design flaws in this game, and I felt that it had the worst ending in the entire series, but it still had enough positive aspects that I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
Belcoot would be one of those positives.
One of the numerous swordsman of the game, Belcoot stood out for his fun storyline, straight forward romance, and awesome final battle with a dirty bastard of a nemesis.
I like the character design for Suikoden V, and I think it really brings the series back to form in that regard. 4 had boring, but competent designs, and I think Tactics improved on those. But Suikoden V really kicked it up to the level of 2 and 3.
I might go back and draw another pic of him, but with his gladiator mask.
Whether you liked the game, loved it, or loathed it, I hope you all enjoy this latest bit of Suiko Fan Art.
I'm referencing the "good" ending, where all the dead evil bad guys are standing around smiling with the people they betrayed and hated till the moment they died. Also, in general I just disliked that the finale featured a bunch of baddies who never really had any motivation beside being power hungry and evil. It just struck me as cheap and uninspired relative to previous games (mostly the first 3).
On the other hand, I thought the parts with the Hero going off with Georg, or staying as a Queen's Knight to both be really cool...so it was mostly a villain side complaint, but I have fairly high expectations for Suikoden antagonists.
Nice work, I hope to see more Suikoden artworks from you. A quick correction: there should be no one in the world who played but loathed Suikoden V. But if somehow there is, they would just be idiots with poor taste and not worthy of ever being mentioned or considered.

I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
